AEDT version environment variable name.

Returns the name of the environment variable associated with the current AEDT version ("ANSYSEM_ROOT252" for version 2025.2).

Note

This property returns the environment variable name, not the actual AEDT version string. To get the version string, use desktop_class.aedt_version_id instead.

Returns:

str

Environment variable name for the AEDT installation path.
